What we liked
- Best-in-class motor for the price. 2.5 HP continuous is real — not the inflated "peak HP" most budget brands advertise. We walked for 90 minutes at 2.5 mph with a 200 lb user and the motor stayed cool.
- Safety handle. Most walking pads don't have a handle. The Strol 2E's removable handle is a nice touch for users with balance concerns.
- Dual LED display. Shows time, distance, steps, and calories. Not super accurate, but useful for tracking.
- Plug and play. No assembly required. Unbox, plug in, walk.
What we didn't like
- The app is buggy. Disconnected 2-3 times per week during testing. Step counting was off by 5–10% vs. our Apple Watch. The pad works fine without the app — just don't rely on it.
- Belt tracking drift. After 50 hours of use, the belt drifted about 1/4 inch to the right. Easy to fix with the included Allen wrench, but you'll need to do it monthly.
- The remote feels cheap. Tiny buttons, no wrist strap, requires line-of-sight to the pad.
- No incline. If you want incline, step up to the UREVO 2.5HP with Incline ($249) or the Strol 2E Pro ($329).
How it compares
vs. Sperax 3-in-1 ($199): UREVO has better build quality and quieter motor. Sperax is $20 cheaper and adds vibration mode. We'd pick UREVO for most buyers.
vs. WalkingPad C2 ($349): WalkingPad is $130 more, has better app and better fold. If budget allows, WalkingPad. If not, UREVO is the better value.
vs. DeerRun 300lb ($219): Same price, similar specs. DeerRun has 300 lb capacity (vs. UREVO's 265 lb). If you're 230+ lb, DeerRun. If not, UREVO.
Who should buy this
- First-time walking pad buyers on a $200–$250 budget
- Users under 265 lb
- People who don't care about the app
- Anyone who wants a safety handle
Who should skip this
- Users over 265 lb (look at DeerRun 300lb)
- Users who want a smart app (look at WalkingPad)
- Users who need incline (look at UREVO 2.5HP with Incline)
- Apartment dwellers who need very quiet operation (look at DeerRun Quiet)
The verdict
The UREVO Strol 2E is the best budget walking pad we recommend. For $219, you get a real 2.5 HP motor, 265 lb capacity, and a working (if basic) walking pad. It's not perfect — the app is buggy and the remote is cheap — but for most first-time buyers, this is the right starting point.
If you can stretch to $249, the UREVO 2.5HP with Incline adds incline and slightly better build quality. But if $219 is your ceiling, the Strol 2E is the pick.
