What we loved
- The fold mechanism is best-in-class. The X25 folds vertically 180 degrees — it stores as a 6-inch-thick slab that stands against a wall. No other walking pad does this well. If you live in a small space, this alone justifies the price.
- Quietest walking pad we've tested. 56 dB at 2.5 mph — quieter than most refrigerators. You can take Zoom calls while walking and nobody will know.
- The app actually works. Syncs seamlessly with Apple Health and Google Fit. Step counting matches our Apple Watch within 2%. Firmware updates are smooth.
- Real 300 lb capacity. We tested with a 290 lb user for 30 days. No frame flex, no motor strain, no belt drift.
- Can actually run on it. 10 mph top speed with a 55-inch belt. We don't recommend it as your primary running treadmill, but for occasional jogging intervals, it works.
What we didn't love
- It's expensive. At $599, it's 2.5x the price of our top value pick (UREVO 2.5HP). The premium is real, but not everyone needs it.
- It's heavy. 75 lbs. Not impossible to move, but not a one-handed operation either.
- The 10 mph running mode is gimmicky for most users. The belt is too short for serious running. Use it for walking and occasional jogging intervals.
- Setup takes 20 minutes. Not terrible, but more involved than plug-and-play budget pads.
Who should buy this
- Buyers with $500+ budget who want the best walking pad on the market
- Small apartment dwellers who need vertical fold storage
- Users 250–300 lb
- Anyone who takes Zoom calls while walking and needs silence
- Buyers who plan to use the walking pad daily for 5+ years
Who should skip this
- Buyers under $400 budget — see our under-$300 picks
- Users who don't care about fold (most people don't need vertical fold)
- Anyone who wants incline (the X25 has none — see DeerRun 12% Auto Incline instead)
The verdict
The WalkingPad X25 is the best walking pad we tested in 2026. If budget isn't a constraint, this is the one to buy — best fold mechanism, quietest motor, best app, real 300 lb capacity. The $599 price is steep, but the build quality and 2-year warranty mean this pad will last 5–7+ years of daily use.
For most buyers, the UREVO 2.5HP with Incline at $249 is the smarter buy — 80% of the X25's quality for 40% of the price. But if you want the best, the X25 justifies its premium.
